Laser Warning Receiver LWR-1A

LWR-1A is a modular detection system used to warn mobile and stationary targets  spotted by  IR Pulsed Laser Sources.

Functional Description

  • Sound and Optical indication of the laser modulation, allows the user to identify the laser source according to its pulse repetition frequency.

Operational Use

  • LWR-1A  is intended for protection of small mobile or stationary  vehicles  from high altitude laser targeting, within 110 degrees  vertical field of view.
  • The sensor is mounted externally on the roof of the vehicle  and the indicator internally.
  • At any alarm of the LWR the user has to abandon the vehicle and run away as quickly as possible.
  • Use of smoke grenades will increase survivability of personnel and the vehicle breaking the optical lock-on of the designator.
