LWR-1Q is a distributed modular detection system used to warn mobile and stationary targets spotted by laser rangefinders, target designators and IR pulsed laser sources.

Operational Use
- LWR-1Q is intended for protection of small mobile or stationary vehicles laser targeting providing indication of the direction of the laser beam.
- Four (4) sensors are mounted externally on the roof of the vehicle and the indicator is mounted internally.
- At any alarm of the LWR the user has to abandon the vehicle and run away as quickly as possible.
- DOA indication, combined with local wind conditions for suitable use of smoke grenades will increase significantly survivability of personnel and the vehicle by breaking the optical lock-on of the designator.
